Tony Parker will be out about four weeks with a sprained left ankle, the San Antonio Spurs announced yesterday, a critical blow to a team off to its worst start in 12 years. Parker, second in the NBA in scoring at 27.4 points per game, was using crutches and wearing a protective boot while watching yesterday's practice. At 1-4 the Spurs are off to their worst start since 1996, when they opened the season 1-5. Parker will be replaced by rookie George Hill or 12th-year veteran Jacque Vaughn.
