Richardson (34) leads Knicks past Wizards

Two games in two nights, and only seven players available to run up and down the floor in Mike D'Antoni's system.
That was enough for Quentin Richardson and the rest of the gutty New York Knicks.
Richardson had 34 points and 12 rebounds in one of his best games since coming to New York, and the shorthanded Knicks held on to beat the Washington Wizards, 122-117, last night in New York.
"We had seven guys basically running on fumes today from playing 40-plus minutes yesterday and we were able to dig deep," forward David Lee said.
Richardson made seven 3-pointers, two shy of the franchise record, and fell a point shy of his highest-scoring game since the Knicks acquired him from Phoenix in June 2005. He scored 35 points against the Wizards Jan. 17, 2007.
Richardson played 44 minutes. All five starters played more than 40.
"As an NBA player you always want to play all those minutes and things like that and this was a situation where we really got put in a situation where we could," Richardson said. "Where you knew you were going to be out there so many minutes, so play as hard as you can, get a blow and get back in there and do what you can."
Nate Robinson had a season-high 27 points, Wilson Chandler added 23, and Lee had 22 points and 12 rebounds to help the Knicks snap a three-game losing streak. Chris Duhon contributed 10 points and 11 assists.
Antawn Jamison had 29 points and 13 rebounds for the Wizards.
Heat 109, Pacers 100 - Dwyane Wade shook off flu-like symptoms to score 38 points, and host Miami rallied from 15 points down to beat Indiana.
Shawn Marion had 18 points and nine rebounds, and Michael Beasley scored 14 of his 17 points in the second half for Miami.
Cavaliers 110, Hawks 96 - LeBron James didn't reach his scoring average and it didn't matter as Cleveland rolled past visiting Atlanta for its ninth win in 10 games.
James came in as the NBA's top scorer, averaging 29.5 points. He finished with 24 - 19 in the second half - on 8-of-19 shooting.
Nets 112, Clippers 95 - Yi Jianlian had a season-high 27 points, and Vince Carter added 26 to help New Jersey beat shorthanded Los Angeles in East Rutherford, N.J.
Suns 102, Trail Blazers 92 - Shaquille O'Neal had 19 points and 17 rebounds to power host Phoenix past Portland.
Jazz 103, Grizzlies 94 - Mehmet Okur had a season-high 23 points to lead visiting Utah past Memphis.
Hornets 109, Thunder 97 - David West scored a season-high 33 points and Chris Paul had a triple double to help host New Orleans hand Oklahoma City its 11th straight loss and first under interim coach Scott Brooks.
Rockets 100, Magic 95 - Yao Ming had 22 points and 13 rebounds to help visiting Houston beat Orlando for its fourth win in five games.
Bucks 79, Bobcats 74 - Ramon Sessions scored 18 points and hit two clinching free throws with 13 seconds left to help Milwaukee beat host Charlotte for its second straight victory.![]()
