Hornets snap Lakers' home win streak at 15

David West scored 15 of his 40 points in the fourth quarter, Chris Paul added 32 points and 15 assists, and the New Orleans Hornets beat Los Angeles, 116-105, last night to snap the Lakers' 15-game home winning streak.
West shot 14 of 23 from the floor and 12 of 13 from the foul line in matching his career high. He also grabbed 11 rebounds as the Hornets (21-10) avenged two losses to the Lakers in New Orleans earlier this season.
Tyson Chandler added 12 points and eight rebounds, and Rasual Butler had 10 points and six rebounds for the Hornets, who shot 16 of 34 from 3-point range to the Lakers' 5 of 14.
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 39 points and seven assists, but scored only 2 in the fourth quarter, shooting 1 of 6 after going 13 of 16, including 6 of 6 from 3-point range, in the first three quarters.
76ers 104, Rockets 96 - Andre Iguodala scored 28 points and reeling Philadelphia returned home from a dreadful road trip to beat Houston.
Iguodala nailed a 3-pointer in front of the Rockets bench late in the fourth to halt Houston's 11-2 run that had sliced the lead to 6. He sank a runner in the lane for a 98-92 lead that dashed Houston's last gasp at a comeback win.
Magic 89, Wizards 80 - Hedo Turkoglu scored 22 points and host Orlando held off a late scoring burst by Washington's Caron Butler. Butler had 29 points, all in the second half, but the Wizards (7-26) came up short.
Thunder 107, Knicks 99 - Kevin Durant had 27 points and 12 rebounds, Jeff Green scored 27 points, and host Oklahoma City nearly blew a 23-point lead but managed to hold off New York.
Mavericks 107, Clippers 102 - Dirk Nowitzki scored 34 points, including the go-ahead jumper with 37 seconds left after he blocked a shot, and host Dallas beat Los Angeles.
Timberwolves 94, Grizzlies 87 - Randy Foye scored 23 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 40 seconds left, and visiting Minnesota beat Memphis to win its third straight.
Bulls 99, Kings 94 - Ben Gordon scored 24 points and host Chicago beat Sacramento to snap a three-game losing streak.![]()
