There's a power forward controversy
This reporter had high hopes for Jared Sullinger (pictured) before the season began, but the fact that Sullinger has cracked the starting lineup after just three games should be a surprise to everyone. Sullinger's advantage over Brandon Bass is an obvious nose for the ball, particularly on the offensive glass. Bass has a more polished NBA offensive game, and he knows the system, but Doc Rivers clearly has a good deal of trust in the rookie. It's not surprising that Sullinger is playing often, but it's surprising that he's competing for a job so soon. Three games in, it's a fascinating development.
