    Celtics head coach Doc Rivers looked on as his team beat the Denver Nuggets 118-114 in triple overtime on Sunday to win their seventh straight game. "I think our team's in a good place and we just want to stay there," Rivers said.

    Celtics shooting guard Courtney Lee scored his only 2 points of the game on a layup. Lee played a total of 23 minutes and had 1 rebound and 3 assists along with his 2 points.

    Celtics point guard Avery Bradley played a total of 46 minutes of the game, scored 13 points and had 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

    Denver's Ty Lawson, who led his team in points with 29, hit a shot over Avery Bradley and Paul Pierce at the end of regulation that tied the game at 92-92, and sent the game into the first of three overtime periods.

    Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari cut the Celtics’ lead to 1 in second overtime with a layup, answering Kevin Garnett's two jump shots that put the Celtics up 4 points.

    Shortly after cutting the Celtics’ lead to 1 point, and following Kevin Garnett's 16-foot jump shot, Gallinari tied the game near the end of the second overtime with an improbable step-back 3-pointer.

    Kevin Garnett was hit in the eye during overtime but stayed in the game. He finished with 47 minutes of playing time, 20 points and 18 rebounds. After his team's victory, Garnett said, "The NBA's finest at its best. This was a tough game."

    Celtics Guard Jason Terry scored a season-high 26 points and played 46 minutes. His clutch steal from Nuggets defender Andre Miller prevented Denver from tying the game with less than a minute to play in the second OT.

    Paul Pierce had his second triple-double in 7 games with 27 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists. He played a total of 54 minutes for the night. When asked how the team gets along without Rajon Rondo, Pierce said, "Roles expand. I know that I'm capable of ... I'm going to be more of a facilitator for this ball club, and you know it's got to come from not only me, it's got to come from a number of guys."
