The way the Celtics’ five-game road trip against Western Conference teams has unfolded, the team might have to crawl back to Boston, without any dignity.
They got their first beating Sunday in Oklahoma City, where the Thunder rolled the Celtics by 23, a loss they blamed on their lack of effort on defense before vowing to do better.
And then their defense was even worse, even more lacking effort, two days later here, where the Denver Nuggets destroyed the Celtics, 129-98, at the Pepsi Center.
