Ainge checks out Korean phenom

Celtics executive director of basketball operations Danny Ainge traveled to Santa Monica, Calif., to watch a workout Thursday featuring 7-foot-3-inch South Korean Ha Seung-jin.

The 18-year-old, who last played for Yonsei University in Seoul, has impressed scouts with his size and mobility, though all concede he will be a project. Scouts believe he could go late in the first round of next month's draft, which would make him available when the Celtics select at Nos. 24 and 25.
