Celtics center Kendrick Perkins is still showing the effects a foot injury that limited him to nine points in the month of December. Perkins had four points and three rebounds in 23 minutes against the San Antonio Spurs Monday in a game where Boston could have used his size. He sat out from Dec. 6 through Dec. through Dec. 27 with plantar fasciitis in is left foot.

“I know he’s not 100 percent,” Celtics coach Doc Rivers said before Monday night’s game. “I just don’t know where he’s at. It’s tough with Perk every night, because there are nights you can see he feels pretty good, and there are nights where he literally can’t move. With the injury that he has, I think that’s the way he’s going to be for a while. I don’t think it’s going to change anytime soon.”

Perkins is averaging 3.8 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in January.
