Wally Szczerbiak won't be with the Celtics for the rest of their current road trip because of his sprained left ankle.

He was sent home Thursday to have the ankle examined by Dr. Brian McKeon.

After that, team officials will meet and determine the best course of action with Szczerbiak for the rest of the season.

It is the third time he has sprained the ankle this season. The latest injury came against Sacramento on Tuesday in the first game back form the All-Star break.
