Celtics, 42-38 (half)

Posted by Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff March 26, 2007 08:38 PM

Paul Pierce has 16 points and Delonte West has 11 as the Celtics and Raptors are engaged in a battle of defense (or poor shooting) here at the Garden. The Celtics are shooting 39 percent in the game. Toronto is at 38 percent.

Toronto All-Star Chris Bosh has made just 2-of-9 shots from the field so far. He has nine points.

  • Rajon Rondo appeared to win a jump ball against Toronto center Jorge Garbajosa in the second quarter, but Rondo was ruled to have left his feet too early.

Rondo redeemed himself by pushing the ball up the court and draining a jumper to end the half and give the Celtics a four-point lead.

  • Injured guard Tony Allen is sitting at the end of the Celtics bench tonight. Allen hopes to finish rehabilitating his knee in time for training camp next season.
