Celtics, 49-45 (half)

Al Jefferson has 12 points and eight rebounds and Allan Ray has 13 points as the Celtics have taken the lead at halftime.

Rajon Rondo makes plays not many players can make. With 7:56 left in the half, Gerald Green bounced a pass to Rondo, who was standing underneath the basket. It was a bad pass, but Rondo stretched his arm out of bounds while keeping his feet in and knocked the ball off Pistons center Antonio McDyess. It was Gumby-esque.

A couple of rogue Pistons fans have been intermittently calling out cheers for their team. No one at the Garden seems to be paying much attention to them.

Theo Ratliff and Wally Szczerbiak are in the house for the season finale. Welcome back, fellas.

Sebastian Telfair played 13 minutes in the first half and did not score. No word yet on whether the Celtics still plan to hold a “Big Sebastian Telfair Night at the Garden.”
