Wally's take

Posted by Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff April 18, 2007 10:37 PM

Wally Szczerbiak was at the Garden tonight for the team’s final game of the season.

“I’m proud of them,” said the injured Szczerbiak. “I think they played hard all year long. The coaches did a great job bringing the young guys along and that’s going to be key to this franchise and key to the success of the team. Having said that, it’s put up or shut up for this team.”

The veteran forward did not speculate on what would happen this offseason.

“Whatever decisions they make, I’m just a piece to the puzzle so I’ve got to make sure I’m ready to go.”
