Forward Grant Hill has agreed to a free-agent contract with the Phoenix Suns, Hill’s agent Lon Babby told ESPN.com’s Chad Ford. The two-year deal is good for $1.8 million this season and $2.8 million next year, according to the report.

The deal will not be official until July 11, the first day free agents are allowed to sign new contracts.

"Obviously money wasn't the biggest factor here," Babby told Ford. "He had offers for a lot more money. Grant wants a chance to win a championship and he wanted to go to a place that would give him a chance to contribute. Phoenix was the perfect fit."

Hill played six seasons with the Orlando Magic but missed almost 300 games due to injury while under a $93 million contract.
