NBA reviewing Celtics-Knicks film

Posted by Marc J. Spears, Globe Staff October 23, 2007 01:47 PM

NEW YORK -- An NBA official said today that the league is reviewing game film of the Celtics-Knicks game Monday night that included physical incidents with Boston's Paul Pierce and Tony Allen. The NBA official also said a decision on whether there will be punishment won't be made today.

After Celtics newcomer Ray Allen fell hard after being fouled by the Knicks' Jamal Crawford, teammates on the floor immediately ran to Allen's defense in Boston's intense 94-87 exhibition loss at Madison Square Garden last night. Pierce grabbed Crawford's chin afterward. Tony Allen also seemed to shove Knicks guard Nate Robinson after they got tangled up with 9:40 left in the fourth quarter.
