Pollard back to Boston

Posted by Marc J. Spears, Globe Staff October 5, 2007 07:41 AM

Celtics center Scot Pollard will be returning to Boston later today. He will have an MRI on his left ankle, which has been giving him problems during camp.

The 6-foot-11-inch, 265-pound Scot Pollard signed an one year deal with the Celtics in August.

Pollard, who played two years with Paul Pierce while at Kansas is known in the league as a "quirky" guy with all his different hair styles. He played for the Cavaliers last season, which lost to the Spurs in the NBA Finals.
