Celtics, 25-16 (1)

Maybe it’s because it’s cold in here. It’s always cold in here.

Whatever the reason, the teams combined to make 1 of their first 11 shots, a dunk by Kevin Garnett off a feed from Kendrick Perkins.

The rest of the quarter wasn’t especially pretty, either.

The Celtics committed 7 turnovers in the first, including three in a row that got the crowd’s gasp to grow increasingly exasperated. Golden State’s 28 percent shooting has kept the Celtics in the lead.

Boston shot 55 percent in the quarter.

  • There’s a large contingent of foreign media here to cover the likes of Mickael Pietrus, Andris Biedrins, and Marco Belinelli for Golden State. There’s been an influx of credentialed reporters from other countries this season now that the Celtics are, ahem, relevant.

  • With the colleges on break, there are a lot more younger children in the crowd tonight than usual. Definitely not as rowdy as a typical game.

  • Gabe Pruitt is on the bench in street clothes and inactive for tonight’s game.
