Celtics, 50-37 (half)

Posted by Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff November 21, 2007 08:38 PM

This game has lacked a certain energy, but the Celtics find themselves with a solid lead at the break.

Paul Pierce is the high man with 12 points for the Celtics. Kevin Garnett has 11. The Celtics have committed 13 turnovers, which is the only reason Golden State is still in the game shooting 30 percent.

  • Tony Allen walked to the bench dejectedly when he was replaced by Paul Pierce with 5:25 remaining in the second quarter. Allen missed an open layup at the end of the Magic game Sunday, and he’s made some mistakes tonight. Confidence is an important part of Allen’s game.

  • Monta Ellis (11 points) is a nice player for the Warriors. He’s long. He’s lean. He’s active. He reminds me of a poor man’s Ray Allen.
