The Celtics did some minor roster-trimming for the holidays today, releasing rookie forward Brandon Wallace. It was not a major shocker, as Wallace's contract would have been guaranteed had he been on the roster on the 20th of December. And with the team already over the luxury cap threshold, any savings is magnified. Wallace spent much of this season with the Celtics' D-League affiliate in Utah. He did not get into any of the team's regular season games.
