Holes at center?

Posted by Peter May, Globe Staff December 11, 2007 04:23 PM

Celtics centers Scot Pollard (back) and Kendrick Perkins (sore toe) are both iffy for Wednesday night's home game against Sacramento.

Pollard missed today's practice and is likely to be out. Perkins is up in the air. If neither can go, Kevin Garnett will start at center with the power forward position being manned, at the outset, by either James Posey, Brian Scalabrine or Glen Davis.

  1. That will work. may need to look at a reserve center that can give a solid 15-20 minutes.

  1. I live in the Philippines so I only get a few games here, but this shouldn't be a problem for 1 game. Perkins has played well but more time for Posey and Davis isn't a bad thing as long as they don't get worn down or exposed. Hey, I know turf toe is a real injury but doesn't it sound funny when you hear about it? Working people drag themselves to their jobs with all kinds of pains and problems yet "so-and-so" can't play because of a sore toe...hahahahahahaha! Hurry back Perk!

  1. Looks like Pollard is another DAinge 'LaFrentz / Dicau / Delk' injury acquisition. It could be worse though. He could trade for Robert Swift!!

  1. I'de prefer go with Davis, as an reward for his late effort - and try to get «the much need» consistency - and maintain the spark off the bench by Posey

  1. Do we really a center, as long as Big Baby Glen Davis can stay out of foul trouble we are all set. I don't think a center matters, for tonight's game when our big three are averaging 60 pts a game. Oh I forgot, to mention that James Posey, is shooting 50% beyond the arc, and Rondo is starting to grow some nads.

Doc is a player's coach, as long as we keep this up, everyone is happy.
