Wallace back to Boston
Celtics rookie forward Brandon Wallace is expected to return to Boston from his assignment with the NBA Development League Utah Flash on Sunday to have his injured right wrist evaluated. The 6-foot-9-inch, 206-pounder suffered a carpal wrist injury when he was undercut while taking a shot against Anaheim last Wednesday. Wallace is expected to get a medical evaluation possibly as early as Monday by Celtics team doctor Brian McKeon. It's uncertain how long Wallace will be out and if he will need an X-ray or MRI.

Don't know what to make of Wallace's stats in D-League. Don't know much about the guy, so don't know if his so-so ppg means he's not capable of being a better scorer or if it's what role he's being asked to assume in Utah. Anyone out there know the history and/or strengths/weaknesses of this kid?
My understanding is that he played out of position at center in college, because that's where his team needed him. The C's are trying to convert him to a 3, which they see as his natural position. I think they see his potential as more as a top defender at the 3 rather than as a scorer, but I could be wrong about that.
