Celtics, 29-28 (1)

Posted by Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff January 23, 2008 08:01 PM

The Raptors made five of their first six shots, but six Toronto turnovers have kept the Celtics in the game here in the first quarter.

Kevin Garnett is pacing the Celtics with 12 points. Andrea Bargnani has 10 points for the Raptors.

  • Brian Scalabrine is riding the exercise bike near the entrance of the tunnel that takes players back to the locker room.

  • There’s a little girl sitting right next to the court on the side of the floor directly opposite the scorer’s table. She’s sitting on the floor, in the gap between two sections of seats. Kind of surprised no one has asked her to move, or at least told her to sit a little farther away from the court.

  • There press tables are a little more crowded than usual tonight, and it’s not due to a crush of Toronto media. For whatever reason, there are more national media members here than usual.
