Celtics, 91-84 (3)

Posted by Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff January 23, 2008 09:14 PM

Three is more than two. The Raptors are living by that philosophy here at the Garden.

Toronto has made 12-of-15 from beyond the arc and has stayed right with the Celtics as we head to the final quarter.

It’s not as though the Celtics are playing badly. They’re shooting 58 percent. They have 25 assists on 37 field goals. They have just nine turnovers.

This should be a great finish.

  • On the bench in street clothes, James Posey stood and applauded as Tony Allen forced a 24-second violation on Jose Calderon at the end of the quarter.

  • K.C. Jones is in the house.

    1. The biggest proble is the coach. He puts slowmo Perkins in to guard a hot three pt shooting team. Then he subs in Rondo to guard Calderon in the last 12 seconds. Calderon immediately took him to the hoop for an easy 3 point play.
This team will never win the title with Rondo at the point. A good point guard would make Rivers look like he knows what he is doing.
