Mitchell's take

Posted by Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff January 23, 2008 10:59 PM

Raptors coach Sam Mitchell seethed before the game when asked if tonight's contest against the Celtics had any extra significance. If his team won, he said he'd be pleased because they'd beaten the best team in basketball.

He was pleased.

"We overcame a lot of mistakes tonight and beat a good team on their court," Mitchell said after the game. "Our defense was good enough. They shot 48 percent, we gave up 16 offensive rebounds, we did a lot of things and we turned the ball over 18 times, which we normally don’t do. But you’ve got to credit them. They really forced some turnovers."
