Old friends return Friday

Not that tonight’s loss wasn’t incentive enough, but the Celtics will be extra motivated to get back on the court Friday night against Minnesota. Six former Celtics play for the Timberwolves.

“I’m pretty pumped up about the game,” said Perkins. “But we’ve got to get back to winning. This was a tough loss, so you know it’s going to be a war in here on Friday.

Perkins said he has been following the Timberwolves closely all season.

“I look at them all the time,” he said. “I think they’ve been doing an alright job. They’re losing, but they’re still competing. They’ve got the talent, they’ve just got to put it together.”

The key component in the Kevin Garnett trade, Al Jefferson is averaging 20 points and 12 rebounds per game this year for Minnesota.

“Twenty and 10 every night,” said Perkins. “You can’t complain about that. He’s a monster. I just wish the best for Al.”
