Perk's take

Posted by Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff January 9, 2008 10:31 PM

Kendrick Perkins is usually one of the more honest Celtics players in postgame interviews. After tonight’s loss, Perk articulated what everybody else was thinking:

“It just kind of hurts to lose at home, especially to teams you know you’re supposed to beat,” said Perkins. “We underestimated guys. Everybody’s in the NBA for a reason. I thought we didn’t respect a lot of guys tonight. We tried to turn it up at the end, but once a team has their momentum going it’s kind of hard to shut them down.”
