Ray Allen iffy
Ray Allen did not practice Tuesday due to what he said was a pinched nerve in his neck.
Coach Doc Rivers said Allen's status for Wednesday night's game against the Bobcats is uncertain. Allen said he has been having radiating discomfort in his right arm and hand for the last few days and even saw some discoloration in his right pinky finger. He had an MRI and a CT scan today. Allen was dressed in practice gear, but mostly rode the exercise bike during the Celtics' practice today. Allen said he first noticed discomfort in the neck area around five days ago, but has no idea what caused it. Rivers said Allen would play if the Celtics were in a playoff situation, so the ailment is not deemed to be too serious. Big Baby Glen Davis also sat out practice with a sore right knee. Rivers said he thinks Davis will be available tomorrow night. Davis, who suffered the injury Saturday night against Detroit, called his situation day-to-day.
