Tony Allen out tonight

Posted by Marc J. Spears, Globe Staff February 29, 2008 01:24 PM

Celtics guard Tony Allen not only has a strained left calf but also missed shoot around with the flu. He is expected to miss tonight's game against Charlotte and has said he expects to be available again for Wednesday's showdown against Detroit. Celtics newcomer forward-center P.J. Brown is not expected to play tonight and is still trying to learn the team's offense.
