East takes All-Stars

NEW ORLEANS -- Celtics guard Ray Allen scored 14 of his game-high 28 points in the fourth quarter as the the Eastern Conference defeated the West 134-128 at New Orleans Arena.

Allen's burst included a stretch of three straight three-pointers in the fourth quarter to stave off a West rally.

Cleveland Cavaliers LeBron James was the game's MVP with a 27 point, eight rebound, and nine assist effort.

  1. Ray Allen is TOTALLY the MVP of the All Star Game. He should have been given the award.

  1. Lebron is the posterboy and all, but where's the love? Without Allen's hot streak, the East loses the game. MVP should be the one who gets it done when it counts, not in the first half when it is alley-oops and highlight reels. This game didnt get competitive until the 4th quarter, and look at who dominated THEN. Robbery.
