Today I got through the particulars --- getting my credential, finding out where the stars will be available for media comment and when and where they are going out for community service projects on Friday.

The Globe will be there providing the color of the All-Star Game.

Tonight on the docket we will report from Zo and Magic's 8-Ball Challenge, a celebrity pool tournament. So we will expect to see Miami Heat center Alonzo Mourning and NBA legend Magic Johnson playing a little eight-ball.

We will also check out All-Star host Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets at his party in the World Trade Center. And finally we will check out the EA Sports video game event.
