The shirts fans will receive at Wednesday's game.

Celtics fans will receive a T-shirt upon entrance to Wednesday night's game against the Hawks, according to a press release from Reebok, the company providing the shirts.

  1. great . . . now we will look like the same cheesy fans that all the other garbage fans wear (Wizards, Heat, Warriors). I though we were above this.

  1. So are they giving these shirts away so that all the fans will have green shirts?

  1. Just because they are giving t-shirts out doesn't mean all the fans are going to wear them. Most real Celtics fans are wearing green to the game anyway - I know I will be. Also, at least it's dark green and we're not going with the "white-out" angle. Finally, we're known for being the loudest building in the league already, that's not going to change with some silly shirts. Stop complaining about the shirts and bring your A-game to the Garden like the rest of us.

  1. Are those green shirts for all the bandwagon fans whose one Celtic jersey (Garnett) is dirty so now they need something to wear to support 'their' team? I thought Boston was suppose to have real fans...

  1. The idea is great. I have been a life long Celtics fan, I I love it! Enough with the tradition crap. Arenas look great when all of the hometown team's fans wear the same color in support of the team. Stop the whining. Its the 2000s we aren't stuck in the 1950s. The tradition card is overdone.

  1. Well, you don't *have* to put them on. It's just Reebok marketing (goodness, that logo is HUGE.) Having said that, I'm curious as to how "green" the spectators will be tonight. For the record, I also hate the opposing arenas where everyone's wearing white or orange or whatever, and I especially hate towel-wavers and those people with those things that look like giant straws behind the baskets. Just be really loud, like in Games 1 and 2.

I'm not going to be at tonight's game, sadly, but if I were, and got this t-shirt, I wouldn't put it on though but I would definitely keep it for the weekends when I'm out mowing the lawn and buying groceries. If it *only* had the Celtics logo, I'd wear it everywhere.

  1. So Dumb. The Celtics are supposed to be the most storied franchise in basketball. This is something an expansion team does. It's embarrassing.

  1. Rock out tonight for us Beantowners living away from the action (i.e. out of New England at the moment). But throw away those shirts- we don't need corporate gimmicks to be the toughest fans in the country.

Think Rondo will deliver it for her?
