Straight shooter

Ray Allen is always dapper. But the smoothest shooter in the game was sporting some giant “No. 20” silver cufflinks along with his tailored suit after the game.

Allen liked the playoff atmosphere tonight at the Garden.

“It was pretty intense,” he said. “It was fun to be a part of…the building took on a different face than what I had been used to. I can’t ask for anything more than that.”

  • Celtics coach Doc Rivers also commented on the atmosphere at the Garden.

"It was phenomenal," said Rivers. "You know, it’s funny, it’s rare when you can hear the fans in the locker room when the team runs out. Today you actually could...They (the fans) were fantastic. They were really good and that’s great for our guys.”
