Save your money, Celtics fans. The Lakers steal a game from you at home!
Why bother? They are only releasing about 200 tickets
They are releasing 18,000 tickets for game 1 and 16,000 tickets for game 2.
Lakers are going down just like Cleveland did...There will be plenty of tickets released to the general public. If there is a ghost of Red Aurebach around let the average Joe who supports the Celtics get lucky. There has been 21 years of misery with Rick Pitino trades from hell.
never been to a celtics game in my life. It is the only Pro Boston sport I have not expereinced yet
with a 50 inch Plasma, Bose Surround-sound, no waiting @ my refrigerator or bathroom... and replays. I've got the best seat in the house..
lakers in 6
Larry, if you truly think you have the best seat in the house because it's free and there are no lines for overpriced beer or the bathrooms, you obviously have not been to a playoff game this season. Thank you for deciding to stay home because my guess is that the Garden will be louder with someone else in your seat, anyway.
Hey laker fans in Boston...
Just like Det. If the Lakers get lucky and steal one in Boston...
The Celtics will take game 3 in LA....
GO CELTICS

Larry, I got a nice set-up in my house, too, but it is tough to beat the feeling of actually being there... Went to Game 1 against the Cavs and went to Game 3 of the B's/Canadiens series... The atmosphere was unbelievable!!! It is starting to sound like the old Garden... It will never be the same, but at least people are fired up again!!! I will be trying to get tix at 2:00, but I'm certainly not holding my breath...
And there's nothing online already. Completely ridiculous that you can't even find one scattered seat available. No way they were releasing more than 100-200 tickets... they should be honest about the quantities in their press release that the Globe continues to run verbatim.
Awesome... I'm glad they kept the little guy in mind with the "Rite Aid Family Section"... One section that is affordable, and everything else jumped right up to well over $100 per ticket... I'm with you now, Larry... I will also be watching from the comfort of my house... With the exception of maybe 1 or 2 games where I'll head out to a bar and revel with the masses...
I got in right at 2 and it said sold out. how does 18,000 tickets go that fast
There is no way they are releasing more than 200 tickets because of all of the season ticket holders, celebrities, and morons that bought the "Club Green" Membership for $300. That leaves around 200 tickets or less with I'd say tens of thousands of Celtics fans demanding them. If you manage to get tickets today online you might as well scratch a lottery ticket, tee up for 9 holes of golf, and play some poker because you'd be extremely lucky. The rest of us fans will watch at home because god forbid the true fans who have watched the team for the past 10 miserable years are rewarded with tickets. Go Celts!
I just got my tickets, off to Ebay
Online ticket sales were a major disappointment, page displayed that tickets were not on sale yet until ~2:07pm, in the time it took me to click best available, 2. They had sold out. Now the tickets are up on resellers sites at a massively inflated price (as compared to face value). Hope others had better luck, but frankly I found the experience to be awfully disappointing.
Go Celtics.
No way they release that many tickets!! Tickets were gone in about 5 seconds not to mention it was 10 minutes past 2 before you could get the chance on ticketmaster.
