Garden on edge
The Pistons have trimmed the Celtics lead to 1 with 1:17 to play and the fans here are the Garden are certainly on edge after watching a double-digit lead has been whittled away. The fans are trying to muster some energy between timeouts, but there's a tension thick enough to cut with a knife in this place.

This was absolutely true. I was there and it was one of those "put your hands on your head and look dumbfounded" type games.
Most fans were clapping and chanting "defense" but it was almost with a question mark ("defense?") in the 4th quarter. Also, don't forget how frustrating it was watching the C's run their offense in the 4th quarter. I'd rather see them take an ill advised 3 point shot than to turn it over on a bad pass. At least a bad shot give you the opportunity for a rebound. Since the C's dominated the boards last night, I think it would have had a pretty good chance at success.
Last nights game did not even compare to the level of excitement and volume level that game 7 versus the Cavs had in last series. That was the last game I went to and was a little disappointed with the energy level of the crowd this time around. Folks, it is the Eastern Conference finals!!!
