Johnson's take

Posted by Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff May 4, 2008 04:25 PM

Hawks guard Joe Johnson didn't take much consolation for taking the Celtics to seven games.

"This is the biggest game of all of our careers, and we just didn’t come to play tonight," Johnson told reporters after the game. "Supposedly it’s all out on the line tonight. We acted like this was just a regular game and we didn’t come to play at all. They were more physical than us and they just really outplayed us tonight. We didn’t really put forth the effort.”

Johnson led the Hawks with 16 points, but he was just 4 of 17 from the field.

“The only thing we can take out of this series is that we are pretty good at home," he said. "Other than that, we did nothing on the road. We got defeated by 25 or 30 points here in Boston every night.”
