Uh-oh; Cavs' whittle C's 6-point lead to 1

Posted by Michael Vega, Globe Staff May 16, 2008 08:54 PM

CLEVELAND --- The Celtics appeared well on their way to expanding their 6-point lead (31-25) with 6:13 to go when -- not so fast, my friend -- the Cavs responded by scoring the next 5 in a row, getting a pair of foul shots by Wally Szczerbiak (we've gotten pretty used to typing his name without a typo during the course of this series) and a huge 3-pointer by Sasha Pavlovic (him, we're not so used to) with 3:39 remaining, pulling the Cavs within 1, 31-30.

  1. And the Cs scored 2 points in the rest of the half.

That was a putrid offensive effort!

  1. Cleveland will win tonight...Boston wins Game 7 and loses to Detroit in 6....

I am a lifelong Cavs fan but realistic......

  1. Unbelievable. Rondo is no where to be found. He brings the ball up, passes it and disappears. Keep the ball away from Allen. He can't dribble. Celtics are not championship caliber. They almost lost the 5th game. Now they're exactly doing that.
