Here we go again, just like the Red Sox. The kids can follow the team throughout the season, because there were a lot of early games. Now with the 9 o'clock starts, the young ones can't watch the games.

I am from southern California, and I live in Cambridge. So, yes, I am huge Laker's fan; though, the Celtics have always been my favorite Eastern conference team. I have a great amount of respect for them. I don't have a television and don't know any other Laker's fans out here. With that said, I hope we can all be civilized about me or any other Lakers fan being in a bar.

Good luck to the Celtics. They deserve to be here.

What the hell happenned to afternoon games or 7:00pm games? These times suck. All so the LaLa fans can finish their suishi. Typical. How about the kids for crying out load? These really tick me off. I have to freakin work for a living. Way to go Stern you idiot.

Boston leads 8-2 against the Lakers. BUT, the games are on TOO late!! Where
are any weekend afternoon or say 6pm games. Mr Stern got his wish of Celtics-

Why 9pm games, we need earlier games and at least one afternoon game. Stern needs to go.

10 posts so far-- three of them are repeats, and five of them complaining about the late start times?!? The Celtics are in the finals, people! This is going to be something special. I'm happy to see the Celtics finally make their way to the Finals but I'm not happy that they have to schedule the game so late. We're playing at the TD and it starts at 9PM?

Pretty ridiculous, and they're obviously catering to the west coast and the TV honchos. I will not be watching the end of those games unless it's game 4 and the Celtics are about to sweep the Lakers.

WOW-----Celtics and Lakers------I've been watching the NBA since back in the 50s when it wad Russel and Chamberlain and teams that were talent deep. Then Bird and Magic and if either of them had not been there the other team would have probably had a long run of titles. As it was we all got to see some of the beat basketball ever.
Now we have 2 more great teams posed to triumph---I'm a huge Celtics fan but I have to say I think Kobe is unstopable and one of the great ones to play. The Celtics are no slouches and have a HUGE HEART for each other. So I have to say once again ---GO CELTICS.

It is great to see the Celtics in the finals again, great to see them face the Lakers there as well and it was great seeing them beat Detroit to get there. I remember back in the last days that we had teams that could seriously compete in the finals or even get there at all it was Detroit we had to beat. Those were the old Bird, McHale, Parrish days. Win or lose it's going to be great, but we hope for the win or at least for a very good series.
Here most of the concern seems to be around the time. Well that and the bench. I can see the games in L.A. perhaps being at 9pm, but shouldn't the ones in Boston be earlier? It seems to me that schedule favors L.A. And shouldn't the Sunday games be in the afternoon? Oh well, let's hope the officiating is fair.

What's with the Thursday-Sunday for games 1 and 2 ?
An extra day in between 1 and 2 would have been better set between games 2 and 3 for the coast to coast travel. Yes we have a right to complain, the home court advantage and we're getting shafted with these crazy start times.
Why not a Saturday game at 7:00PM … oh wait I see … then it would overlap with NASCAR. This is pure marketing crap.

The reason for the late starts is because at 6pm PST, there will be about 10 million people watching in L.A. while in Boston, there will only be about 100,000 people watching. Get it Celtic fans? I hate the late starts too and what's with the 3 day gap between Thursday and Sunday games ? How bad would it be to play in prime time on a Friday or Saturday night to at least have a game and a chance for 2 that wouldn't fall on a school night ?

Regardless of game times, great series ahead of us. This is for our so-called sports "experts" and veteran basketball "analysts" (listen up ESPN analysts!). Back in 2004 you all guarranteed a Lakers massacre of the Pistons in the finals, with the Legendary Four: Shaq-Kobe-Malone-Payton, and great backups led by Horace Grant. Result: a pathetic 5 game loss to the champion Pistons!!! (Circa 1975: experts back then were sure of a sweep by the Bullets over the Warriors. Result? It was the other way around!!!). Wow!!! When can these so-called "experts" really come up with "expert" analysis. They all chose Lakers over the Celtics this year, hahaha!!! They're in for a big surprise again after this is over!!

Due to the 9pm start times there isn't a single game my kids can watch. At the least the Sunday games shgould be in the afternoon.

I have to say that I have respect for the Celtics, I was going to get on here and treat them like the spurs but I simply couldn't do it. I fell in love with basketball watching Magic beat Bird for the championship! And here we are a generation later and my two boys are going to be able to watch Kobe and company do the same!!

Lakers were in danger of not making the playoffs until they got Pau Gasol. Refs handed the Lakers the Western Conference title. Look for Kobe to get every call in LA.

Celtics handled the Lakers easily in the regular season and will do so again. Lakers have only one option on offense - Kobe. Celtics have 3. Lakers bench is a total joke. Walton's kid? Give me a break. Jordan Farmar? Yeah, he's real scary. Turiaf? He's a thug who belongs in jail.

Celtics have Posey and Cassell coming off the bench. Both have rings and both know what it takes to win. Kobe only has 3 rings because of Shaq.

Kobe has won nothing without Shaq and that will continue. Celtics in 6 only because David Stern doesn't want a Celtics sweep and will make sure the refs call it that way. Look for Derek Fisher to mug Rajon Rondo or any other Celtic the way he mugged Brent Barry and got away with it.

Let's face it, Celtics easily demolished the Lakers in the regular season and that trend continues.

I agree with everyone regarding the late start. My husband is a big Celtic fan, but must get up at 4:30AM for work. How can he possibly watch the games and function at work! What ever happen to early evening or for that matter a Saturday or Sunday afternoon game! I think this is very sad state of affairs.

Well, this was a disappointment. Pau Gasol no-shows the second half and is a paid bystander watching KG dunk on him. The supporting cast cannot hit open shots and Kobe has an off night (for him) First half looked good, triangle was working, defense was solid, and the team did not show up ready to start the 3rd quarter. They need to come out ready to play four quarters on Sunday if they don't want to make this a short series. Let's hope we get the team that showed up for game 4 in San Antonio, and not what we had yesterday. Celtic fans (like Eddy), you were right...so far. Hopefully, Phil will make some adjustments, and Gasol will come out ready to bang, instead of playing like a Euro, which he occasionally does. And, the bench has got to do more than what they did yesterday. If they win game 2, everything changes, but that game is a must.

Enough of comparing these Laker/Celtic teams to the era of Kareem/Magic and Bird/McHale - let's not even get into the era of Jerry West?Laker or Bill Russell/Celtic teams.

These present day crybabies couldn't win one out of ten games with any of those teams. This is not basketball these guys are playing, this is simply "street ball" being played inside. Hell, these guys put picks on each other that would get them a ten yard penalty in football - and travelling and carrying the ball is as accepted in today's game as frowning and beating one's chest.

It is just a game and it isn't really being that well played. For those who may think that I am a "total jerk" I have been viewing this game since Mikan was a Laker in MINNEAPOLIS.

No brainer now... we recorded the game..watched it w/ about a 2 hour delay..... felt so pissed after tthe Celts got down 24..my wife walked away and I started to jump the game forward (the dvr will jump 30 sec intervals). I'm swear'n off the NBA for good..the refs stink..the announcers suck..etc. etc. .My wife had now gone off, I think I might have been getting her scared by this point! She sees the final score accidentally in another room and comes back smiling to let me know that it was the greatest Finals' comeback in NBA history,,,We then watched the 2nd half totally enjoying every minute and how Van Gundy, Breen, and Jackson would be blow'n it with all their BS praise of the Lakers...
That was one for the ages...incredible...and basiclly without 2 starters most of the game!
Perkins left 2 1/2 min. into 2nd half & played 13 min...Rondo only played 17 min
It was Lakers 45 Celtics 21 w/ 6min 30 secs left in 1st half..
The Celts outscored them 76 to 46 in a little over 2 and half quarters to the end
and 57 to 33 in the 2nd half...what a turnaround...

Celtics finally rule again...cya

I also believe that the officiating has been terrible, not only in the games against the Lakers, but also in the other games that the Celtics played during the playoffs.
Their were some obvious fouls that were not called against the other team and some fouls that were called against the Celtics that were not fouls at all, just good defense.

This has also never been mentioned, but I believe that the announcers of these games, have not had a lot of positive remarks about the Celtics. They need to have announcers that are not favoring any one team, like they have been during these playoffs.

The Boston Celtics have demonstrated emphatically that there is no I in TEAM, unlike Mr. Bryant who still struggles with bouts of selfishness. The comparisons to Michael Jordan must stop once and for all. Michael Jordan played the Boston Celtics at the original Garden and scored 63 points in a playoff game, however it was not until Michael Jordan learned to bring out the absolute best in his supporting cast that Jordan became the legend that he is.
