Where's the party?

LOS ANGELES -- As Celtics Nation rejoices from coast to coast following the amazing come-from-behind victory in Game 4 of the NBA Finals last night, we're wondering where Boston supporters are partying in California this weekend.

Earlier this week, we popped out to Fat Face Fenner's Fishack on the pier in Hermosa Beach. We were immediately greeted with the sights of Globe 10.0 on the bar's TV screens, but we didn't see a lot of C's jerseys in the thin crowd.

And while we'd been told that it was a Boston bar, we think the folks there might want to update the sign outside to include a little something about the other pro sports team on the brink of banner No. 17.

So, as you Celtics fans rejoice today, let us know where we can find some Boston fans out here so we can check out the revelry. Use the comments section on this entry to leave your thoughts.

  1. Celtics should have been represented well at FFFF. Must have been free green beer around the corner at the Mermaid

  1. Sonny McLean's in Santa Monica is a huge Boston bar. They have a huge fund raiser every year when the Red Sox visit the Angeles. All the Red Sox players and the owners go every year. www.sonnymcleans.com

  1. Clearly, Sonny McLean's is the Nation West. Lived in LA for 10 years and have never even heard of that other place.

  1. Sonny McLean's - for Celtics/Red Sox/Patriots and Bruins Nation West. The bar has been a sea of green for the Finals as they manufactured their own "Beat LA" t-shirts. Jim Connors is a class guy and runs a class place. You won't find a better place outside of Massachusetts to unite with Boston fans.

  1. Don't think we have to play who has the best Boston bar in So. Cal... it's just great that all of us transplants have a place to go to cheer our teams and bond with neighbors from back home.

Tip of the hat to McLean's which put Nation West on the map with their appearances in 2004, but the South Bay is glad to have their own watering hole. The locals appreciate being able to stumble home without driving.

And Bob's right -- Not sure about the green beer, but the Mermaid makes a good drink.

  1. Granted this series is Boston/LA but not Boston/CA. It seems that people back East get confused by this. Folks up in the better half of the state can be found at the Connecticut Yankee in SF. Don't be confused by the name.

  1. If anyone is ever south of LA and look for a Patriots Bar in Orange County, the Orange County Patriots Fans meet at Fox Sports Grill in Irvine. Its not a Boston Bar by any means but we do get a ton of Pats fans and we'll also be there tonight for the Celtics game.

We also have a group/club for anyone going to the Pats games on the West Coast this season (San Diego, San Fran, Oakland, Seattle)

  1. A couple of hours south, but a good Boston sports bar anyway... RT's Longboard Grill in Pacific Beach (San Diego).
