Full schedule released
Start circling the dates.
The 2008-09 NBA schedule has been released and that means the defending champion Celtics can now officially start plotting the course to banner No. 18.
There's more than a few games to note. The Celtics will open the season at home against LeBron James and Cleveland Cavaliers on Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. (banner No. 17 will go to the rafters that evening).
Their first crack at the Pistons comes on Nov. 9 at Auburn Hills, and Kevin Garnett's return to Minnesota comes Nov. 21. The Green will play in one of five matchups on Christmas Day, when they'll travel to Los Angeles to tangle with the Lakers in a Finals rematch.
A tough road stretch comes Feb. 11-25, when Boston boasts seven away dates (with the Feb. 15 All-Star Game in Phoenix tucked in between). Later, the C's host the Pistons for a Sunday afternoon showdown on March 1 and they'll host the Cavs and Magic on March 6 and 8.

Are the Celtics ever going to begin selling replicas of Banner 17???????? I need one ASAP.

I wonder if the black athlete who is pulled over quietly thanks God that he is wellknown so he does`nt risk incarceration or serious beating.I am white and let me say it is getting very old,(racial profiling,DWB-driving while black).I think in another 50 years this disgusting habit by law enforcement will only be a part of our history.
season 2008-09,another year to prove that C's are the best in the league! wish they are more prepared now than ever.
once again,CONGRATULATIONS CHAMPIONS! ! !
