A late stop by the Celtics' reserves preserved a 111-108 victory over the New Jersey Nets in East Rutherford, N.J., Thursday night.

J.R. Giddens stripped Chris Douglas-Roberts, then converted a free throw with 3.3 seconds remaining, Gabe Pruitt chasing down the rebound as Giddens missed the second shot, clinching the result.

Tony Allen scored 32 points in 29 minutes and Eddie House had 21 points for the Celtics.
