The Celtics' slow starts could be a thing of the past.

The Celtics set a season-high for first-quarter scoring (32 points) in a 118-103 win at Toronto Sunday and surpassed that in taking a 35-28 lead over Golden State Wednesday night.

Golden State's up-tempo style and lack of defense contributed to the Celtics' scoring spree. But the Celtics failed to convert a field goal in the final 1:44 of the quarter, Rajon Rondo departing after giving the Celtics a 34-26 lead.
