Tony Allen still out

Posted by Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff December 5, 2008 06:46 PM

Just talked to Celtics guard Tony Allen, and he said he is out once again tonight with that right ankle sprain. He''s been resting the ankle and treating it with ice and massage, and he said hopes to be back for Sunday's game at Indiana.

"That's what it looks like," Allen said. "I haven't done anything on the court. Tomorrow will be the day when I got on the court and shoot some shots."

However, Celtics coach Doc Rivers said he wasn't going to rush Allen back.

"I don't know," said Rivers. "He hasn't done anything, so I doubt even Sunday. If he's not 100 percent, or really close to it, I look at it as -- the way I look at it, we play Sunday and we have three days off, so he would have to be very well for me to play him on Sunday."
