KG: 'Don't get punk'd'

The Charlotte coaching staff listed brief reminders for Bobcat players on a grease board in the locker room before playing the Celtics tonight.

Regarding Celtic Kevin Garnett, the advice was brief: "Don't get punk'd," referring to Garnett's ability to psyche out opponents.

Garnett, who sustained a calf injury late in the Celtics' 100-88 loss to New York Sunday, trained without a leg wrap before the game.

"I got kicked," Garnett said. "That would slow any of you down. When you are playing you don't think about how hurt you are, at least I don't. I try to fight through it as best I can. It wasn't going to stop me from playing. Am I playing tonight? Absolutely."

  1. is it really okay for a member of the media to go into the visitor's locker room and relay their team chalkboard messages for the world to see before the game? i'm guessing its violating some rule of media ethics...

  1. Deleting comments that question your media member ethics, eh? Sad, Frank. Sad. Try defending yourself if you don't agree next time.
