Celtics center Kendrick Perkins said he was fined $10,000 by the NBA for his hard foul on Pistons forward Jason Maxiell during last Friday's game in Auburn Hills, Mich. Perkins said he wasn't surprised by the fine - he thought it would be worse.

  1. IF THE REFS HAD CALLED THE OBVIOUS FOUL WHEN MAXIELL SHOVED HOUSE TO GET THE REBOUND THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO FURTHER INCIDENTS. HOW THEY CAN MISS A 6 FOOTER SUDDENLY LURCHING FORWARD WITH A 6'10" OPPONENT BEHIND HIM GETTING THE REBOUND IS BEYOND ME.

  1. What fine did Maxiell get? How about Hamilton for his flagrant....

  1. I thought ejection for a flagrant foul carried an automatic one game suspension. Is that not the case? (not that I want it to be, of course)

  1. That was not the best time for a very cheap shot, that's the downside. Maxiell however, is one of the toughest Pistons, and Perk just laid him out, without losing his composure at all, and that was great to see. We need toughness, Perk showed it. Enforcer

  1. No point in complaining about officiating. It's so subjective.
