Shaq steals show
Shaquille O'Neal made a cameo appearance but stole the show in the NBA All-Star game Sunday in Phoenix.
O'Neal had 17 points in 11 minutes, converting six of the West's 23 dunks and was named co-most valuable player along with former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant (27 points) as the West took a 146-119 victory.
Celtics Paul Pierce (20 minutes), Kevin Garnett (19), and Ray Allen (18) mostly took it easy during the contest. Garnett sat out the final 17:53. All the Celtics were on the East bench for the final 7:47.
