Celtics coach Doc Rivers said today before practice that injured forward Kevin Garnett will return to action either Tuesday at Philadelphia or Wednesday against Washington, but wouldn't play in both. Rivers added that more than likely the All-Star will play in the regular-season finale against Washington and there would be no minute limits.

Garnett has missed 19 of the past 23 games with a strained right knee and is slated to practice Monday in Philadelphia. In his previous return that last four games, the 6-foot-11, 250-pounder was limited to about 14-16 minutes per game.

"We're hoping no time limit," Rivers said.
