Kevin Garnett will miss the Celtics' final two regular-season games, at Philadelphia Tuesday and versus Washington in Boston Wednesday. Garnett is scheduled to return when the Celtics open the playoffs, Game 1 tentatively scheduled for Saturday.

"We're just being careful right now," coach Doc Rivers said. "I don't see the benefit of playing Kevin right now, with the practice we're going to have."

Rivers called off practice Monday, but Garnett, Leon Powe, and Brian Scalabrine worked out and will participate in tomorrow's shootaround at the Wachovia Center.

Garnett (right knee) has missed the last seven games -- the Celtics winning six of those, before falling to Cleveland (107-76) Sunday. Powe (right knee), who has been out for 11 games, could be available against the Sixers, Rivers said.
