Powe has sprained knee

Posted by Gary Dzen, Boston.com Staff April 20, 2009 11:51 PM

Leon Powe sprained his left knee during the first half of Monday night's win over the Chicago Bulls and did not return. Powe received an MRI on his knee during the game and is questionable for the rest of the series.

  1. The hustle and grit on this team is incredible. How they still won that game with the shooting night Chicago had and all the Celtics falling left and right is hard to believe. At least there was one good laugh when those Tommy Heinsohn cutouts were being waved. I hope that becomes tradition. Who ever thought of that deserves 10 Tommy points!!! Get well Danny Ainge.

  1. That's a real shame about Powe, as he's such a hard worker and a very important role player. It makes one wonder if his reoccurring knee sprains have something to do with his previous knee surgeries, however.

  1. Another injury for the Celtics. Hopefully, he will be better for the next game.

  1. I hate to say it but at some point after the all star break they should have picked up another big man. Scal, Garnett and Powe have all been in and out (mostly out) since then. And the really just need some more big bodies.

    You think??????????
    ------------------------------------

Everyone was screaming that to Danny Ainge, but his clogged arteries must have affected his hearing.

Had Ainge sent Ray Allen out west for Brad Miller and John Salmons, this team would be unstoppable right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I've said many times, I'm so glad that Ainge is a bonehead.

  1. Without McHale there to hold his hand, Ainge is lost.
