Scalabrine returns

Posted by Frank Dell'Apa, Globe Staff April 22, 2009 01:00 PM

Forward Brian Scalabrine practiced at full speed today and is expected to be available for the Celtics when they visit Chicago in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series Thursday.

Scalabrine, who has been out since sustaining a concussion Feb. 23, wore a protective headband during the workout.

"It protects me in the slight chance I get hit there," Scalabrine said of the white headband. "One our trainers jimmy-rigged it together. It could blow up -- stock options available.

"My head is not an issue. I've been allowed to work out and I feel good. I didn't even breathe hard.

"I have the benefit of seeing the last two games and we've been going over Chicago for a week now. So I'm comfortable with what we need to do."

  1. Scalabrine was playing the best ball of his life before he got injured. Im not saying that he can replace KG but I think he can come pretty darn close. If Scals plays like he is capable of and Baby keeps playing like he is IMO that would equal out KG.

  1. Hog, did your Mom drop you on your head when you were a kid? Probably-she had her hands full w/the crackpipe. This is a CELTICS blog-we will give Rondo all the props he deserves. If you don't like it, don't log-in here. All you do is try to antagonize people like a 6 year-old anyway. I can get that from my children if I want to. Jerk...

  1. yeah hog is a straight up jerk. all he does is come in here and talk a bunch of negative stuff about the celtics. he dwells on this type of attention. scalabrine will make a huge difference in this series. hog's comments were right--despite his sarcasm. we'll see who gets the last laugh tonight. when the celtics win tonight--we'll all lash out on hog

  1. Aww. Did hog upset you, 131? Take your sensitive feelings elsewhere if you're just going to whine.

    It's called the truth.
If you find it to be negative, it's because you team sucks.
