The Celtics will be competing with more than just the Orlando Magic during their second round NBA playoff series. They'll also be going head-to-head with the hometown hockey team.

Starting Wednesday, the Celtics and Bruins will play on the same night for the final five games (if necessary) of the Bruins' series with the Carolina Hurricanes. That means Boston fans looking to watch their boys of winter on ice and on the parquet will have to do some channel surfing.

Here's how the doubleheaders break down. There are no days on which the Bruins and Celtics both play at the Garden:

Wednesday, May 6

  • Bruins at Hurricanes, Game 3 (7:30 p.m.; NESN and Versus)
  • Magic at Celtics, Game 2 (8 p.m.; TNT)

Friday, May 8

  • Celtics at Magic, Game 3 (7 p.m.; ESPN)
  • Bruins at Hurricanes, Game 4 (7:30 p.m.; NESN and Versus)

Sunday, May 10

  • Hurricanes at Bruins, Game 5 (7:30 p.m.; Versus)
  • Celtics at Magic, Game 4 (8 p.m.; TNT)

Tuesday, May 12

  • Bruins at Hurricanes, Game 6* (7 p.m.; NESN and Versus)
  • Magic at Celtics, Game 5* (Time TBA; TNT)

Thursday, May 14

  • Celtics at Magic, Game 6* (Time TBA; ESPN)
  • Hurricanes at Bruins, Game 7* (Time TBA; NESN and Versus)

The full schedule for the Celtics-Magic series can be found here. The Bruins-Hurricanes schedule is here.
