Speaking to the media for the first time in months during today's press conference introducing Rasheed Wallace, Celtics forward Kevin Garnett said he is ahead of schedule in his recovery from offseason knee surgery.

  • The Pistons are reportedly interesting in signing Glen Davis to replace Wallace, but no offer has been made. Cleveland, Charlotte, and New Orleans are also interested in the forward, who just completed his third season. The Hornets would only be able to acquire him in a sign-and-trade.

  • The Celtics are still in the running for veteran swingman Grant Hill, though the Suns are also in the mix along with the Knicks, who can offer him the most money.
